What another fabulous day for Midwales working gundog society.
A huge thank you,once again to Roger Phillips for giving the club another full day of his knowledge, time and expertise, free of charge, which goes a long way to helping the club to pay towards their field trials, this coming winter, Also a special mention young Arthur Phillips for some outstanding dummy throwing,
With the heatwave earlier in the week, there was a few concerns about how hot it would be in Carmarthenshire despite that everyone started with a coat/jacket and there was a nice breeze from the mountains helping to keep the dogs and handlers cool all day.
All dogs and handlers improved as the day went on, under Roger's guidance you could see the confidence in the handling improve as the day went on.
Highlight of the day must be Rebekah Harrington's young dog picking a bird out of a tree with very little handling.
Roger as already told the club that he will give the club another day next year which is already in progress and hopefully we will be able to hold it in the Brecon area.
