WHAT IS THE MID WALES WORKING GUNDOG SOCIETY ALL ABOUT?

The Mid Wales Working Gundog Society was founded in 1987 by Pamela and Clive Rowlands.

Its aim is to promote the role of the working gundog as well as all things desirable for and in the interest of gundogs. Based in an area in which shooting is a popular sport and an important part of the countryside, there is both a use and a demand for well trained dogs (and handlers!) to work on large commercial shoots and many syndicate shoots within the locality.

With this in mind, the Mid Wales Working Gundog Society offers training classes for handlers and their dogs out of the shooting season, whether you are a Novice handler and dog or seasoned handlers looking to polish up your dog's skills ready for the next season's shooting.

As well as this the Society holds Trials during the shooting season and also Working Tests out of season for both those with a more competitive nature and/or those who wish to have a yardstick against which they can measure their training and results so far.
